How To Pack For A Camping Trip

Camping is one of the most fun summer activities that you can do. By getting out into the great outdoors you can enjoy the fresh air, local scenery, and get in tune with nature, which can be emotionally, physically, and spiritually uplifting. But, if you aren't a big camper, then you may not know the first thing about what you should pack in your duffel bag. Whether you are going camping for one night or a few nights, your packing list will be the same. To help you ensure that you don't freeze or sweat, this article will list a few of the basic things that you should pack with you. Read on to learn a little bit more.

A Flannel Shirt

Layers are one of the best things that you can bring with you when you are camping — plus they will help you look the part. Try packing at least one or two flannel shirts with you in your duffel bag. Flannel will help you keep warm when it's cold, and you can tie it around your waist when you start to heat up. Plus, nothing will make you look like a camper quite like some flannel or plaid.

Lycra Layers

Another thing that you should bring is some lycra stretch fabric leggings and tops. Lycra is not only flexible but it is breathable as well so that if you are hiking or something, you won't feel too sweaty while you're sweating it. Plus, lycra leggings and workout tops make great layers for you to sleep in at night as well. If it's really cold outside, you can layer your lycra underneath traditional pajamas, or you can just wear them on their own.

Big Socks and Boots

Flip flops may be your go-to shoe choice when you are at home, but they won't do you any good when you're out in the woods. Make sure that you pack some boots and at least two pairs of big socks for every day that you are going to be gone. Why? Because if you're hiking and step in water and your feet get wet, you will need a dry pair of socks to change into. Plus, you may want to layer your socks at night so that you stay warm when temperatures start to decline.

Packing for a camping trip doesn't have to be difficult, but if you have never done it, then these tips will help make your trip an absolute success.
